The Globe and Mail: "Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin has agreed to a one-year, $5.5-million (all figures U.S.) extension. The speculation since the end of the regular season was that the Leafs captain and his club were nearing a new two-year contract. But in the last week, Sundin delayed the process because he instead desired just a one-year deal."
