Oilers,no room for free agents

With training camp set to begin next season, the Oilers have no wiggle room to sign any additional free agents, reports the Edmonton Journal.


The Oilers have 49 contracted players on their protected list, just one under the NHL limit, heading into September and the team plans on giving prospect Robert Nilsson the opportunity of being a top-six winger.


According to the Journal, Anson Carter's agent contacted the Oilers to see if they might like to bring him back, but they were appeared to be little interest.
