Bouwmeester pleads Guilty
Florida Panthers defenceman Jay Bouwmeester pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges in an Edmonton Provincial Court on Tuesday.
He was given a one-year driving probation and a $1,000 fine.

according to TSN Edmonton forward Fernando Pisani will be out of the Oilers lineup indefinitely after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, the club announced Tuesday. Ulcerative colitis is type of inflammatory bowel disorder. "I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through this difficult time, especially my wife and family," said Pisani, who is currently undergoing treatment.

TAMPA TRIBUNE: Erik Erlendsson recently reported Tampa Bay Lightning GM Jay Feaster intends to go into training camp with goaltenders Marc Denis, Johan Holmqvist and Karri Ramo battling it out for the two netminding jobs on the club. Regarding Denis, who's coming off a bad season, Feaster said three things would happen: Denis will play his way to a spot, to the minors or into a trade.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The local group that put down a US$10-million nonrefundable deposit to buy the Nashville Predators for $193 million signed a deal Friday that includes the purchase agreement with current owner Craig Leipold.The deal had to be finalized by Friday before the local group's exclusive negotiating rights expired. That would have allowed Leipold to talk with other bidders.
